Dark Pewter 19th Century Stump Ejector Candle Holders - Set of Two

A very rare pair of pewter ejector candlestick holders. These are dark and moody with shaped square bases and push-up stump ejectors. While it is rare to find a pair with both pumps working, it is rarer still to find them in pewter, especially in a design that isn't a rounded base. Likely antique c. late 19th century.

Height: just over 18cm (roughly 7.25")
Bases: 10.5 x 10.5cm (just under 4.25")
Cups: 21mm

Signs of wear include major scratches on the cup bases, minimal scratches and imperfections on the base and body. Some wax remains.
