Sterling Silver Filigree Handmade Cigarette Case

A stunning and intricate cigarette case. Most other similar pieces originated from the Middle East or Russia and they were always made with sterling silver due to its pliability.  This specific piece looks similar to pieces from Persia and is believed to be sterling silver. An amazing item for collectors or any space that's begging for character and charm. Age unknown, likely antique c. early 1900s.

Length: 8.5cm (roughly 3.25")
Width: 8cm including hinges & clasp, 7cm without (just over 3", then 2.75")
Depth: 2cm thick (0.75")

Lovingly aged and worn - signs of rust and a few blackened spots. Interior straps have lost their stretchy "rebound" but the clasp and hinges are still working perfectly.
