Such charming and whimsical pieces! These vesta buckets were designed for carrying and lighting matches. Typically found in brass, these are unique with their silverplate. They would be perfect candle companions in the kitchen or bathroom. Antique c. mid to late 1800s.

Diameter: 6.5cm including handle

Signs of a previous life include minimal wearing away of the silver plate (some brass is peeking through along the edges) as well as some imperfections here and there. Please note the striker on the bottom may not work on modern matches.
