Michaelangelo's Pieta & Moses Italian Alabaster Bookends by G. Ruggeri, Vintage

Incredible set of stone bookends hand-carved in Italy by G. Ruggeri. The left end features the horned Moses while the right features the Madonna della Pietà, both originally created by Michaelangelo, roughly 7 years apart.

These are a captivating pair and will certainly elevate the sophistication (and conversation) of any room. Vintage c. mid-late 20th century.

Each measures:
Height: just under 18cm (7" exactly)
Base: 11cm (4.25")
**the bases are square

Signs of wear including sticker marks and some discolouring of the stone.
