This stunning set of small hardback books form a small portion of a larger set. They are titled: The Miscellaneous Prose Works of Sir Walter Scott, Bart in 28 Volumes and include volumes 2, 11, 14, 18, & 20-25. See below for more specific title information.

They have an incredible presentation with leather bindings, intricate gilt detailing, and marbled edges. Each book also includes a personal label from one of their previous owners, reading "Alfred?" dated 1875. They each begin with their own set of illustrations as well. Antique, published 1849.

Each one measures 11x17cm with varying thickness.

It is clear these books have lived a few lifetimes, evident in numerous ways: well-worn titles on the spines, worn & torn edges, discolouration and foxing on the pages, one large tear on the spine of volume 11. Please get in touch for more specific information or photos if needed.
