Ruby & Brass Caged Bubble Glass Globe Jar

Without a doubt, an incredibly impressive piece. A brass base with intricate detailing that moves upward into a geometrical caged globe with matching lid. Glass was then blown into the interior, causing it to expand through the cage openings, forming an absolutely stunning piece of art. Finished with a ruby red colour. Likely made in India. Vintage c. mid-century.

Diameter: roughly 17cm (6.75") around the widest point

A single crack across the length of the glass in the lid, but no pieces are loose. The red finish has also worn away inside the lid. Everything else is very sturdy, no other damage. An extremely heavy piece.
